I hope some new games come out that require them. All these new wireless game devices have really renewed my faith in controllers. A new Logitech Rumblepad 2 Wireless.Īnother great controller if you are in the market and in my opinion, the best gamepad you can get for the PC. I also got a new gamepad a while back, for playing Freespace 2 and NFS Underground. I haven't tried it with Battlefield 2 yet, but I imagine it'll make flying planes and helis much easier. I wasn't expecting much when I bought it a year or 2 ago, but it has worked flawlessly since the day I bought it.

:( Seems as though either the drivers are conflicting with some of my other USB devices or there are some broke innards. All the renewed talk about Mechwarrior 4 made me want to start playing again so I plugged in the Wingman and lots of errors. I soon replaced it with the Logitech Wingman, which perform flawlessly out of the box. I had limited sucess with the Sidewinder, I never could seem to get all the buttons to work, and the transition from DOS to Windows was faught with errors and stability problems, but when it worked it was heaven. I used the gamepad for Re-volt and Spiderman and it was ok, not great. When I enable the joystick the frame rate drops momentarily to zero then picks up again to the desired frame rate. My system works fine with the joystick disabled and can run FS2002 at a fairly high frame rate with no ill effects. My 1st post & I need your help Im a keen Flight Sim 2004 addic and have been using a Microsoft Sidewinder Precesion 2 Joystick for around a month now with no problem.

A MS Sidewinder 3d Pro, a Logitech Wingman 3d Extreme and a generic gamepad. Can anyone help I am running a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro with Windows XP, FS2002. Here are a few shots of the oldest controllers I still own. Here's hoping for a new generation of games that require a fancy joystick. Mechwarrior 2 in particular needed a fancy joystick to really immerse you in the experience. Falcon 3, Mechwarrior 2, MS Flight Simulator, Descent etc.

Is there any drivers out there that allows me to use the MS SideWinder Precision 2 Joystick with Windows 10 and the new Flight Simulator program?
